Macho Wellness was born out of a profound commitment to bridging the healthcare gap experienced by Hispanic men. Our mission is to strengthen men everywhere in their pursuit of better sexual health.
We built Macho Wellness because of the enormous gap in care that exists for Hispanic men.
Men's health deserves the spotlight it often misses. Across the globe, men tend to have a shorter life expectancy and can encounter specific health concerns such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.7
Our goal is to shift the narrative surrounding men's health, emphasizing the importance of early prevention and tailored care. Despite the existing gender disparities8, we are committed to ensuring that men receive the attention and care they need.
We focus on men’s health.
Hispanic men, in particular, face distinct health challenges. They exhibit higher rates of obesity and obesity-related conditions9, such as type 2 diabetes, compared to White men. They are also more likely to suffer from specific health issues, including chronic liver disease, kidney disease, and the emotional toll of fatherhood.10,11
Though less likely than their non-Hispanic counterparts to be diagnosed with the most common forms of cancer - lung, prostate, and colorectal cancers - Hispanic men are more likely to develop cancers, including liver and stomach cancers, which are linked to infectious agents like HPV.12
Our approach is to provide personalized care that takes into account the unique risks Hispanic men face, enabling them to take control of their health and well-being.
We break down barriers and provide personalized care based on the unique risks that Hispanic men face.
Access to healthcare should be a fundamental right for all. Hispanic men are more likely to be uninsured13 and are often without a primary care provider, which can lead to delayed diagnoses and hinder early intervention.14,15
At Macho Wellness, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to seek medical attention without barriers. We don't deny care based on insurance status or the availability of a primary care provider. Your health is our priority.
